Don't overlook Champy, Lake Champlain's version of the Loch Ness Monster!
When I was living in the area, I met someone who claimed he swam with him.
Several communities on the New York side of the lake can provide
information, trinkets, etc. I suggest contacting someone in Plattsburgh or
Essex.
