A CHRISTIAN OASIS. The ICC team visited the Lillian
Trasher Orphanage in Upper Egypt.
     Here ICC discovered a Christian refuge for some
600 orphaned children. The orphanage is like
     an oasis in a wilderness, but nevertheless is
bordered on all sides by a ten-foot high wall. More
     than 25,000 children have been helped by the
orphanage since 1910. At the orphanage, the
     children are given the opportunity to feel as a
part of a family. They are provided food, an
     education, and vocational training.
