EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR: The Rock County Historical Society in Janesville, Wisconsin, is seeking a leader to oversee a growing institution that includes a local history museum, archives, and a historic house museum known as the Lincoln-Tallman Restorations. This house museum was built in 1856, and over 75% of the furnishings are original. Abraham Lincoln was a guest in 1859. Other buildings on the grounds include a horse barn and an 1842 stone house in Greek revival style. The Helen Jeffris Wood Museum Center is a 1912 prairie-style home that houses offices and a museum. Responsibilities of the executive director include varied activities such as working with the board, supervising staff, managing financial resources, and fund-raising.
