Presumably you mean that they don't use the museum's name in advertising
the item for sale.
I suppose the dealer should give the museum's name to the purchaser so
that they have complete provenance for the object, which means that they
would need to reveal it to "serious enquirers" before the sale (or offer
a money-back guarantee if purchasers are not satisfied with the
provenance, which is much the same thing).
