You know there's always a book for it if not a class for it. I picked up
"Courierspeak" some time back, it's written by Cordelia Rose and it's a very
handy thing to have if you are going to be thrown into the courier world.
It breaks it down from the moment you alight from the airplane with your
precious cargo to customs, to the loading dock, to the storage areas of the
venerable museum borrowing your stuff. The book provides phrases in six
different languages for when you find yourself in the middle of Japan,
Germany, or even Russia, and it has fun illustrations. And last but not
least, there is a Code of Practice for couriering museum objects. Last I
saw it was a Smithsonian Institution Press Book, 1993, ISBN # 1-56098-195-4.
