Re: painted archaeological textiles from Peru:
 
Fragments from a single textile can often be found in more than one
collection.  Some of these textiles can be re-assembled graphically.  The
reconstructions provide additional material for analysis, and demonstrate
that the whole is indeed greater than the sum of its parts.  (for an example,
see The Textile Museum Journal 1992, pp.71-80)
 
I have assembled a small photo archive of painted textile fragments.  I
definitely need to expand this archive/data base.  If you know of Peruvian
painted textile fragments or collections which have been, or can be
photographed, please reply to the e-mail address below.  No fragment or
collection is too small to consider!
