We had a "9/80" schedule here at the LA Natural History Museum
until late last year: work 80 hours over 9 days in each two-
week pay period. Staff loved it because all but managers had
every other Monday off. As a manager in charge of research
and collection effort for a project on a highly accelerated
schedule, I hated it. Ten percent of the time I only had
half the staff available. The biggest problem was
communication, a critical need in project management, perhaps
slightly less critical under "normal" circumstances.
