The Alberta Museums Association is organizing a forum entitled: ARTIFACTS AND
SPECIMENS: OBJECTS OF KNOWLEDGE? The agenda includes time for small group
discussion. I'm looking for issue-based questions to encourage and focus
debate. EG. "Can curators claim sole authority to the meaning of objects? If
'NO,' then what criteria should be used to select alternative voices?"
The purpose here is not to get a discussion going on the above question but to
solicit other questions related to the topic of objects and knowledge. WHAT ARE
THE HOT TOPICS BEING DISCUSSED RIGHT NOW? (albeit, I'm certainly interested in
your views, as well)
