Program Coordinator, Upstate History Alliance
Oneonta, NY
The Program Coordinator will be responsible for developing programs and
coordinating administrative activities at the Upstate History Alliance.
This work includes tasks associated with the Regional Archivist position
in the South Central Region of New York State's Documentary Heritage
Program. The Program Coordinator reports to the director and works
collaboratively with other staff members and board committees.
The Upstate History Alliance (www.upstatehistory.org) provides training
and development for museums, historical agencies and archives in a 35
county region of upstate New York. Our projects include regional
roundtables, an annual institute, collaborative exhibition and training
projects, and the administration of the New York State Council on the
Arts Technical Assistance Program.
Applicants should have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant
field, experience in working in a museum or other cultural agency, and
the abilities to learn quickly, work independently and work as part of a
team.
The salary for the position is $25,000 plus benefits and the position is
available beginning September 1.
