Museum Educator Jacksonville Museum of Modern Art Jacksonville, Florida The Jacksonville Museum of Modern Art is seeking a dynamic and flexible museum educator to work with innovative community outreach programs. Degree requirements: B.F.A. or M.F.A. in Studio Art or Art Education, or degree in Art History with significant coursework completed in Studio Art. Applicant should be accomplished in teaching studio art processes and possess a strong knowledge of art history. Duties/ Responsibilities include: instruction of hands-on art classes for children and adults, delivering informal lectures tailored to specific age groups, writing art curriculum and educational materials for teachers and visitors, assist in managing off-site art studio located in under served community, assist in docent training, perform routine administrative duties. A willingness to work with diverse populations on community outreach projects is required. Full-time position - 40 hours per week + occasional evening and weekend events. Salary Range- $23,500- 26,000 commensurate with experience +benefits package.
