Fellow Listers, You all have been so helpful in the past, that I'm betting you can help me again. Recently, we have received several items that I need to number and store--two 20's style hats and a 20's style mink stole. I know for the hats that I have to use tissue paper inside to help keep their round shapes, and ideally store them separate. My question for the hats, is how have any of you numbered them in the past? In addition, do you keep the accessories such as the hat pins attached or have you removed them but kept the two together? As for the mink stole, I have never had to store or deal with fur before much less mink. So any assistance you can provide would be of great help. This one has a small metal chain of three loops for the catch. Should I worry about it discoloring or even rusting on to the fur? How and where should I even put a number on it? As you can see, I'm completely clueless. Please email me off-list as not to clog the list. Thanks in advance.
