CHIEF OF SECURITY AND BUILDING OPERATIONS Museum Attendant Supervisor POSTING DATE: August 9, 1999 JOB NO.: 349 CLOSING DATE: August 23, 1999 at 5:00 p.m. PCN NO.: 5210-3711 STARTING SALARY: $17.03 per hour PLACE OF WORK: 121 W. 7th Avenue PAY RANGE: 13N HOURS OF WORK: 8am-5pm DEPARTMENT: Cultural & Recreational Services/Museum MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR CONSIDERATION, THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE MUST APPEAR ON YOUR APPLICATION: * High school diploma, GED, or equivalent * two years of progressively responsible experience in security or law enforcement. * Two years in building maintenance or repair which included work with heating, ventilation and/or air condition systems * one year experience directing and/or supervising employees. Substitute: Post secondary education, vocational/technical, or trade school in the fields listed above on a year for year basis, except for the required supervisory experience. Prefer applicants with Bachelor's degree in Law Enforcement, Security, Criminal Justice, Engineering, or related, and professional experience in law enforcement/security. Experience in management of building security, and fire prevention and safety programs. Experience in computerized HVAC and security systems. Experience with database, spreadsheet programs. Fiscal management experience. NATURE OF WORK Serve as member of Museum's senior management team with responsibility for development and implementation of short and long term plans for security, environmental, and maintenance needs. Direct security operations. Manage Museum building operations and maintenance. Develop policies and procedures for revenue collection and reporting. Supervise and train seventeen person Museum Attendant staff. Manage computerized environmental and security systems, audiovisual, and sound systems. Coordinate security, building, and equipment needs for 400 special events. Perform duties of fixed asset custodian. Manage Safety Program, to include, development of plans, policies, and procedures for Emergency and Disaster Preparedness. A MUNICIPALITY OF ANCHORAGE EMPLOYMENT APPLICATION FORM IS REQUIRED.
