evaluate a wide variety of art and science instructional programs and materials
to support the NJ school curriculum. This position "teaches the
teachers" in an extensive outreach program for pre-kindergarten through
high school students. Responsibilities include overseeing teacher services
and training; developing and managing an intern program; initiating and
developing collaborations with area schools; marketing strategically the
museum's educational services; and creating extensive teaching materials.
The ideal candidate will have extensive alternative education experience with a
minimum of two years directing, developing and supervising education programs
with art and science components. Demonstrated leadership and
administrative ability and commitment and experience in working with students
from diverse cultures. BA or BS required. Graduate degree
preferred. Salary $36-42,000.00 and excellent benefits.
