Assistant Director of Education
New Jersey museum seeks education professional to develop and
evaluate a wide variety of art and science instructional
programs and materials to support the NJ school curriculum for extensive
outreach program for pre-kindergarten through high school students.
Responsibilities include overseeing teacher services and teacher training;
developing and managing an intern program; initiating and developing
collaborations with area schools; marketing strategically the museum's
eduacational services. The ideal candidate will have extensive alternative
education experience with a minimum of two year's directing, developing and
supervising education programs with art and science components.
Demonstrated leadership and administrative ability and commitment and experience
in working with students from diverse cultures. BA or BS required;
Graduate degree preferred. Salary: $36-42,000 and excellent
benefits.
