One year graduate intern position available, beginning summer 1999. The Lake County Museum encompasses Lake County history, including 18,000 objects and 10,000 archival items. The Museum's Curt Teich Postcard Archives contains 360,000 images of 20th centruy North America--the largest public postcard collection in the country. Responsibilities include working in both the archives and with educational programs and special events. This is a unique opportunity to see all aspects of museum work and become a part of a dynamic museum undergoing extensive renovation of its permanent exhibit galleries. Excellent interpersonal experience, familiar with museum practices, background in history or education. Stipend and one year vacation provided.
