I think that many of us forget that those individuals who post their resumes to the List are usually new to not only Museum-L, but to the museum profession as well and are seeking whatever means available to find a job. These people have chosen to introduce themselves to an international community in the hopes of obtaining entry into the world of museum employment. Why not just offer up a hearty "congratulations on graduating" and "welcome to our world" followed by a kind directive towards other more appropriate sites? WE all know that it is pretty much useless to post a resume to the list ONLY because we are seasoned Listers. I remember the days when I was a struggling novice looking for my first job. Had I received such a slap on the wrist for asking what I thought was a worthwhile question, I would probably have wondered if I had chosen the right career path to trod down! I personally could care less whether or not someone posts a resume to the List. It only shows up once and is far less annoying than some other things I seem to have had to delete time and time again!
