Administrator/Outreach Coordinator Museum/historical Society seeks mature, responsible individual to fill full-time position. Must be self starter, work well on your own and as part of a team, enjoy working with the public and function in a fast paced work environment. Requires good organization, computer proficiency, inlcuding word processing and database management. Some latitude in choice of hours during regular office hours of 9 am - 5 pm, Monday thru Thursday, but does require some Sunday work for four hours twice monthly. Pay range $22-24K depending on experience, generous vacation, sick leave and health benefits. Administrative Duties: Office management, correspondence, maintaining files, telephone and visitor reception Preparing and updating calendar of events and docent work schedules as well as docent training. Light bookeeping and sales. Assists in arranging for maintenance and delivery of supplies and services. Outreach Duties: Receiving museum visitors and leading tours, maintaining membership records and soliciting membership for the organization.
