In the new (April 1999) book Museum Job Descriptions and Organizational Charts, the Appendix has two articles of interest to interviewers. The first, "Employment Practices and Employment Law" provides general guidelines for conducting a search, the interview, and the follow-up, including employment discrimination laws which also apply to the interview. The second article provides definitions of "Reasonable Accommodation" under the American with Disabilities Act, which includes suggested modifications or adjustment to the job, both in the actual job and in the recruitment and interview process. And, true to the title of the book, it also contains over 50 organizational charts and over 100 job descriptions in museums of all types and sizes.
