Deputy Director for Exhibitions and Collections
This position is part of the senior managment team of the Museum and reports to the Director.  We are looking for a creative and innovative manager who can conceptualize and implement multiple exhibition and collections projects.  Working closely with the curatorial and interpretative divisions on the museum, she/he will be responsible for coordinating all exhibitions, developing and promoting the museum's travelling exhibition program, and creating a comprehensive plan for the care and management of the collections. Minimum 5 years of substantial museum management experience required, with a broad curatorial knowledge of art history, historical movements and contemporary interpretative methods.  Appreciation and interest in the public dimension of museums, and an understanding and respect for all peoples.  Ability to direct and inspire diverse and creative staff. Foundations and Government Relations Manager
We are seeking a development professional, with a minimum of 5 years related experience, to manage the Museum's foundation and government fund-raising efforts.  Responsibilities include:  research, cultivation, and solicitation of current and prospective donors in support of the annual fund, special projects and the endowment; oversight of the foundation/government database and project proposal calendar; initiation and managment of special events for foundation and government supporters.  Ideal candidate has initiative and is team-oriented.  BA degree in arts or sciences required; advanced degree a plus.  Salary commensurate with experience, and excellent benefits.
