The Deadwood Historic Preservation Commission, in Deadwood, South
Dakota is sponsoring a curatorial internship shared between the Adams
Memorial Museum and The Days Of 76 Museum in Deadwood.
        The intern will recieve experience working with the collections of
both museums, including the registration, inventory, and cataloging of the
individual collections.
        This is a full-time, paid position from approximately June 1st to
August 31, compensation is $7.50 per hour. Applicants should be working on
their Masters Degree in Public History or Museum Studies and be currently
enrolled as a full-time student. Preference will be given to a student with
class work or prior experience of curatorial practices. Other requirements
are caring for collections, a background in history, excellent
organizational and written skills, and a basic understanding of computors.
