Dear Carol, Here's one: the Steamboat Bertrand Museum (on DeSoto National Wildlife Refuge) is located in the country - five or more miles from the nearest small towns. The only way to get to us is by vehicle (bus tour, private car, etc.). However, having arrived to our parking lot, everything is wheelchair accessible. The building entrance is an uphill walkway which is more than what some seniors would like. We have a wheel chair available for the asking (with deposit of car keys or driver's license). The exhibits are all on one floor which simplfies accessibility issues. For other disabilities we have very little to offer - although we're working on that. I don't think we're a superior example, but we may be an example of how far along you already are by comparison! Sarah Tuttle Museum Curator Steamboat Bertrand Museum [log in to unmask]
