I work as a historian for The Engineers Club of Dayton and we have a library that will be renovated in a few months. The architects planning the renovation want most of the books removed and disposed of...let me get to the problem here folks, the books that we have are outdated books dealing with various aspects of engineering and I have to decided which books we keep and which books we throw away or give away, etc. The main problem is that all of the books were donated to the library by various club members from 1918-present and we do not have any kind of log book that notes who gave what book to the club. I have less than 90 days to go through hundreds of books and see what books we keep and so on. Does anyone know of any kind of book guide for engineering books that lists how rare and valuable books are? Should I bring in some consultants on what to do? To be honest with you, I have been with this club for a few months and someone told me that various club members have "taken" most of the rare and valuable books over the years so basically you can see the situation that I am in. Please e-mail me off the list because I don't check my mail regularly on this account...pleascontact me at [log in to unmask] Thanks, Tony Wright Club Historian Engineers Club Of Dayton
