Specialist, Russian Decorative Arts
Based in NY City, this position requires knowledge or interest
in Russian Decorative Arts including icons, miniatures, silver, etc. You
will work with museums, galleries and private collectors in locating and
consigning works and be responsible for two auction sales per year. The
position is for a junior specialist, who has appraisal experience, but we would
consider interviewing interested candidates at the administrator level, who are
eager to be trained and advance in this field. Salary range: $25-40K,

Art Historian/Gallery Manager
We are looking for a unique candidate with knowledge and
experience in 19th and 20th century world photography, who is able to bridge
both the nonprofit and commercial gallery worlds for a new organization in New
York City. The ideal candidate will be able to organize exhibitions,
generate sales, and initiate and coordinate programs, lectures and conferences.
You must be highly organized with excellent management skills. Experience
working with photography collections is required. Excellent communication
and computer skills essential. Salary is negotiable, and may include a
combination of salary plus commission.
