It is not your E-mail address, although it will be included with your E-mail address on messages sent out from your account if the Postmaster has configured your account to rewrite the "From" address on outgoing mail. If your name is misspelled, you should inform your Postmaster as only the Postmaster can make changes to this field. Internet-Addresses ------------------ You can receive mail at any of the Internet addresses listed. The first one is your Primary Internet Address. Your Primary Internet Address is usually the address included in all outgoing mail and should be the one you generally give out as your E-mail address. All Internet addresses are matched in a case-insensitive manner so they may be written in any mixture of upper and lowercase characters. The case of your Primary Internet Address is important only if you want to have your address on all outgoing mail written a specific way. Multiple addresses may be used to accommodate common misspellings (e.g. Jane.MacFarlane@Domain and Jane.McFarland@Domain), various address formats including hostname hiding on outgoing mail (e.g. Jane.Doe@Domain, [log in to unmask], doej@domain, doe@domain, etc.), or addresses in multiple domains (Jane@Domain1, DoeJ@Domain2). Finger-Information ------------------ The "finger" directory service lets people find information about other people with E-mail accounts. The information specified here will be returned to other users who request information about you (as long as the Postmaster has not limited access to your account). Your finger information can include anything you want people to know, such as your postal mailing address and favorite quote.
