Since its beginning in 1991, with a strict focus on interactivity, the scope of ICHIM has broadened to include a full range of activities related to Cultural Heritage Informatics. The 1997 ICHIM conference at Le Louvre in Paris, attracted over 650 attendees from 25 countries. Paper proposals will be accepted until November 30, 1998. All papers are subject to critical peer review and will be judged by an international Program Committee on the basis of the quality of the abstract. The Proceedings of ichim99 will be published.
