Howard [log in to unmask] http://www.swmuseum.com http://www.exhibits.cc ____________________________________ Position Description Southwest Museum Services Receptionist/Secretary Position Requirements: High school education or equivalent; previous work experience in an office setting; general knowledge of office practice and methods; ability to operate or learn to operate office machines required to perform the assigned work; basic computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Word, Word Perfect, or similar word processing programs; pleasant demeanor and ability to deal effectively in contacts with people; ability to handle incoming telephone calls and take messages. Primary Duties: Duties performed include, but are not limited to the following: * greet walk-in visitors * handle incoming phone calls and transferring calls to proper extension * relaying accurate messages in a prompt and courteous manner * receive mail and packages for distribution * assist in keeping office common area cleaned and straightened * typing letters, reports, and other documents as assigned, utilizing a word-processing program * preparing packages for mailing * performing other duties as assigned Secondary Duties: Duties performed include but are not limited to the following: * assist staff in preparation of exhibits, proposals, and other products of the company * procuring office supplies and other material as assigned Hours: 30-35 hours per week, M-F. Wages and Benefits: $6.00 per hour or higher depending on skills and qualifications; one week vacation after six months; two weeks after one year; hospitalization plan available.
