Visitor Center Program Manager Hatfield Marine Science Center Oregon State University Oregon Sea Grant Program Manager serves as leader of the educational program with eight educators, aquarists, bookstore and support staff, and a large volunteer corps; plans and coordinates informal and formal educational programming; prepares funding proposals and strategic, marketing, and operating plans; manages the operation and oversees the maintenance and repair of the facility; conducts staff hiring, training, and evaluation; develops and monitors program effectiveness; plans and facilitates research on informal science education. Required: Master's degree in science, 2 years managerial experience, 3-5 years work in an educational facility; proven abilities in leadership, supervision, and communication; strength in marine education related discipline. Preferred: Ph.D; experience with research proposal development; experience in dealing with interagency planning and collaboration. 12-month, full-time position located at Hatfield Marine Science Center in Newport, OR.
