Linn- You may want to get in contact with MONA (the Museum of Neon Art) in downtown Los Angeles. They do exhibits on neon and kinetic art. I visited the museum in May, and at that time they had a wonderful kinetic exhibit which included motion, light, and sound activated by the viewer.
