Full-time curatorial position available beginning 1 November 1998. Curator
works under supervision of the director in the areas of exhibit production,
collections management, education, and general museum operation in a county
historical museum.

A bachelor's degree in history, museum science, and/or related discipline is
required. At least two years experience as museum curator, registrar, and
/or exhibit designer. Must have knowledge of current cataloguing techniques
and collections management systems used by the AAM. Must have ability to use
conservation techniques in the preservation of the museum collection. Must
have ability to perform methodological research. The ability to work with a
wide variety of individuals is necessary, as is having a working knowledge
of computerization.

The Bell County Museum, located in Belton, Texas, serves the community as a
vital resource for the collection, interpretation, and preservation of the
historical heritage of the Bell County area. The award-winning museum is
housed in a restored Carnegie Library building, finished in 1905.
