A Virginia Assn. of Museums newsletter article tells how more and more good
people are leaving museum jobs in thes state because of the sheer stress and
overwork, lack of funds to do their jobs, etc. I wonder if that's happening
elsewhere?

Let's face it. One of the current newsweeklies talks of businesses paying
$8,000 a month and up for MBA and law school interns.

Sources of support for museums just haven't kept up with the expectations
these institutions have of themselves -- and most museums would admit to
being quite understaffed. And now come the bright new graduates, and very
little room left to give them a chance that has a paycheck with it.
