Background Info: This is the third conference in a series sponsored by the Clinton Administration: the first was held in December of 1997 and focused on safety issues for children on the Internet, the second was held in February and focused on access to the Internet for all Americans. WHO: Vice President Gore is tentatively scheduled to give keynote address Thursday, June 11. Commerce Secretary William Daley, leaders of major entertainment and computer companies, and children, teachers, and others interested in making sure that quality content is available for children will participate in the Conference. WHEN/WHERE: Thursday, June 11 - Friday, June 12, 1998, Los Angeles Airport Hilton and Towers, Los Angeles, California AGENDA: The Conference will feature five panel discussions, four breakout sessions, and a closing plenary session. In addition, software demonstrations will be held throughout the conference.
