Director of Interpretation --Deadline Extended Museum Division of State Historical Society of Wisconsin seeks experienced, professional exhibits designer to manage its exhibits and education programs. The Museum: offers 24,000 sf. of permanent, temporary, and traveling exhibits; its education program provides tours, public programming, and volunteer services; and has an annual attendance of 100,000 to 125,000. Responsibilities include: conceptualization, design, fabrication, and installation of interpretive exhibits; project management and supervision; multimedia development and maintenance; and educational programming. The ideal candidate will have: extensive interpretive museum design experience and training, a substantial background in project management, and significant knowledge of museum interpretation and education. Salary range high $30's to low $40's depending on qualifications. Excellent benefits.
