I found that for children between the ages of 5 and 18 a three year span
seemed compatable. For adults the span the span seemed to be about up to 10
years. So, based on my experience, that would mean 4 to 7 or 9 to 11 would
work. For adults the span would run something like 25 to 35 or 50 to 60.
The reason I mention both groups is that you might find grand parents and
baby boomers might not be as compatable even if they all bring 5 to 8 year
old children. So if you have the option, and a large enough pool of
interested people, you might try to get grandparents with children of a
certain age on a differnt day than parents and children. And you might be
able to get the same kids twice this way!

Good luck
