The State Historical Society of North Dakota is offering four summer
     internships:
        - Facility Management Assistant
        - Exhibit Research Intern
        - Museum Technician
        - Interpretive Programs Intern (for graduate students only).

     The State Historical Society of North Dakota, based in Bismarck,
     strives to identify, preserve and interpret the heritage of North
     Dakota and its people.  The State Historical Society of North Dakota
     is the state's  premier public history institution.  The agency
     maintains a collection of nearly one million two-dimensional and
     three-dimensional objects, and serves more than 250,000 people from
     around the world.  The Society operates the North Dakota Heritage
     Center, which is the state's largest and only AAM-accredited museum,
     as well as 56 historic sites.

     All internship applicants should demonstrate the following:  general
     knowledge of the humanities and/or public history, organizational
     skills, strong communication skills, the ability to work
     independently, to manage multiple priorities, and to work with a
     variety of people.
