John, I had an on-line survey associated with our guide to museums. We had about 80 responses over about 4 weeks. We used the survey just to get a feel for what people thought. We offered no incentive to get people to fill out the survey so I feel we got a reasonable return rate. Jim >I am approaching a desired number of responses to our online survey and I >should be able to get going on data analysis sometime late next week. >Although it has taken only about 2 months to collect 300 usable responses, >the response rate is only a small fraction of the total number of visits, >maybe 2 in a hundred online visitors (roughly speaking). > >I would like to hear from anyone else who has conducted online surveys at >their museum and what sort of response rate have been seen. > >Thanks, > >john chadwick > >=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= >John Chadwick, network administrator >New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science >1801 Mountain Road NW >Albuquerque, NM 87104 >[log in to unmask], http://www.nmmnh-abq.mus.nm.us >phone: (505) 841-2843 FAX (505) 841-2866 Cellular (505) 264-4460 >=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Jim Angus New Media Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County 900 Exposition Blvd. Los Angeles, CA 90007 http://www.nhm.org voice: 213/763-3317 fax: 213/746-2999 eMail: [log in to unmask] = [log in to unmask] [log in to unmask] [log in to unmask] web site http://www.nhm.org/~jangus http://www.cco.caltech.edu/~aonghais/ ----------- When they told me I was average, they were just being mean.
