Yasui (and other interested parties)- Among a variety of institutions that address the issue, you might be interested in the Lake Champlain Basin Science Center, currently in development at Burlingtion, Vermont, USA (802)-864-1848 and the Great Lakes Science Center, Cleveland, OH, USA, 218-694-2000. The Pacific Science Center may also be of interest (Seattle, WA, USA) (206) 443-2001. Additional museums may be found by visiting the Association of Science-Technology Centers' website, www.astc.org. Many aquaria also cover inland waters. The Tennesee Aquarium has good content on inland water systems. For additional information about aquaria, you may want to visit www.aza.org. Those who live in the asian sectors of our glob e, just watch out for noisy crackers and enjoy yourselves with great fun! I wonder if somebody could kindly help me in compiling a list of museums relat ed to inland waters: rivers, streams, lakes, marshes, ponds, which cover the s ubjects of transportation, fishery, natural history and human life deeply tied to the inland waters. I have been able to get information of a couple of museums in "Museums of the World 5th edition" (Saur Verlag, Munich 1995). This work is for a new project I have been asked to do recently. You may forward your generous advice to the Museum-L so that others who are in terested in the subject may share the information. From my experience using the Museum-L, I have been helped by many kind colleag ues on this unique and super resource for many subjects and making efforts to help others on other subjects as well. I look forward to hearing good advices from you, soon. Yours very truly, Ryo Yasui R. (Mr) Museum Consultant 1458-103, Shinkoji-cho, Machida 195-0051, Japan.
