The Tech Museum of Innovation Full-Time Position Available Technology Development Coordinator The mission of The Tech Museum of Innovation is to serve as an educational resource that engages people of all ages and backgrounds in exploring and experiencing technologies affecting their lives, and to inspire young people to become innovators in developing technologies of the future. The Tech Museum of Innovation is seeking an experienced professional to serve as a project coordinator for a successful Inkind program which has attracted over $20 million worth of equipment donations for our new permanent museum. Playing an integral role in the organization, the Technology Development Coordinator's primary responsibilities are to assist in the delivery of inkind items to the new museum, and to maintain the equipment and service donation program following the museum's opening in Fall 1998. The Technology Development Coordinator is an exempt, full-time position reporting to the Director of Technology Development. Responsibilities: * Maintains a detailed inventory/database of donor commitments, actual and potential. Maintains the calendar of scheduled and to-be scheduled meetings. Maintains files of sponsors and other research materials related to donors. * Communicates with donors; writes letters of appreciation and ensures proper recognition of inkind donors by retrieving the appropriate information from the donors (Materials and Contribution Records). * Coordinates delivery of inkind donation to Tech storage locations. * Distributes equipment for use in the permanent site which will include overseeing the relocation for equipment from storage to the new site. * Coordinates storage and works with Asset Manager to inventory equipment and log in Tech asset management system. * Coordinates and supports meetings between inkind staff and numerous advisors in industry, academia, and the community. * Works with other Tech departments including Engineering, development, and administration. * Work as Museum Manager or Asst. Museum Manager on assigned weekend days and holiday. Requirements: * A minimum of five years work experience with a broad range of responsibilities. In addition, a minimum of two years of experience as a Project Coordinator is preferred. * Basic business skills (filing, typing, etc.). * Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects and work against deadlines. * A proactive and self-reliant individual with an outgoing, friendly personality and excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiating skills. * Familiarity with Silicon Valley companies and products. * Proficiency in Windows and Macintosh software including, FileMaker Pro, Word, Excel, desktop publishing, E-mail and others. * Willingness to work on assigned weekend days and holiday. * Bilingual is a plus.
