Job Announcement The Manchester Historic Association, a museum and library located in south-central New Hampshire, seeks and Executive Director to administer the operations of the Association on behlaf of the Board of Trustees. The MHA has a full time staff of four, a part time staff of six, a membership base of 600, and an operating budget of $250,000. The Director is the chief executive officer of the Association and directs, manages, and administers the museum's general operations, and supervises staff. The Director provides leadership and support for all MHA fundraising including the completion of the second and final phase of a $3 million capital campaign, and collaborates with Trustees for institutional planning and board development. Candidates must have an MA in history or museum studies, at least five years administrative experience in a museum setting, strong curatorial skills, ability to promote the MHJA to the community, and a successful record of exhibit or program development. Knowledge of historic preservation and American industrial/social history are important. Competitive salary and benefit package provided.
