The Center for American Archeology invites applicants for a new position: EDUCATION COORDINATOR. The person selected for this position must have a background in Archeology with a minimum educational level of at least a M.A. Excellent writing and communication skills are essential, as is an interest in public programming. Education or experience in Education is beneficial. This position will require creative thinking, attention to detail, staff management and comprehension of budgeting and fiscal management. The Coordinator will assist in restructuring the Center’s traditional programming and oversee ongoing education activities. Initially these activities will include oversight of the ongoing Museum in the Classroom project, an innovative museum education program that links public schools and museums through the use of computer technology. The Education Coordinator will work with a team of advisors and report directly to the Director of Public Outreach. This is an immediate opening as a full-time position, salary is negotiable commensurate with experience.
