The University of Denver, Department of Anthropology announces a
tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level.  The person in
this position will direct the Department's master's degree program in
Museum Studies and teach graduate and undergraduate courses in the
department.

A PhD with a specialization in museum anthropology and a strong record of
practical museum experience are required.

The master's program in Museum Studies is a professional training program
that cultivates skills in collections management, exhibit development,
educational programming, and museum administration while remaining firmly
embedded in the academic discipline of anthropology.

The Director of Museum Studies will work with faculty curators and a
full-time collections manager to provide hands-on training for students
in the context of a small teaching museum.
