Provides general office assistance, including word-processing, faxing, xeroxing, call-screening, and some departmental correspondence. . Assists with maintaining budgets. . Assists in the production of presentation materials for potential corporate contributors, and other potential donors. . Assists in the stewardship of corporate sponsors. . Maintains department library, central files, development and communications databases, overall office organization (including supplies and equipment). . Assists with donor prospects research and in the development of media contacts. . Assists in preparing publicity and promotional materials for exhibitions and special events; handles logistics of promotional mailings of materials. . . Reads daily newspapers and magazines for Guggenheim Museum Bilbao mentions and art-related topics; pastes up selected articles and maintains general staff distribution. . Translates all key Spanish news articles into English summaries for distribution. . Responsible for department clipping distribution and files; organizes clipping books. . Assists in the coordination of press previews and press events. . Assists at press events and receptions. . When necessary, provides research support, coordination of information, correspondence, and other administrative support to Guggenheim Museum Bilbao related departmental activities within the museum. Qualifications . Strong written and oral communication skills, as well as excellent proofreading skills. . Fluency in Spanish. . Strong computer skills, including experience with databases. . Prior museum experience or internship highly desirable. . Previous experience in communications a plus. . Fluency in other languages, a plus but not necessary. . Superior organizational skills and ability to handle a variety of tasks concurrently and meet frequent deadlines. . Ability to initiate advance planning and prioritize tasks.
