Does anyone know of a good reference for exhibit lighting? I am required to review Standard Facility reports for other facilites who wish to host our traveling exhibitions and I need a informative reference to lighting systems so that I may adequately assess the reports. Is anyone familiar with the EAI TMH-250 Digital Thermohygrometer? This is a compact tool that displays ambient temp and humidity simultaneously. I inherited this tool with my new position, however there are not any instructions to be found! I need a tool to measure the humidity and temp in the galleries, but I'm not sure of the accuracy of the readings from this device. Does this device need to be calibrated? How long does it need to take to get an accurate reading? Can I get it to display the current humidty level rather than the minimum and max reading? Will the reading be accurate for a relative small area? Is there a better inexpensive tool on the market for reading humidity? Last question, I promise. I have several aged newspaper articles lying flat in protective cases under 5-10 foot candles (tungsen-halogen UV filtered lighting) Is there anything else that I could do to prevent damage while exhibiting? Or..Should I just photo copy these newpaper articles and remove the orginals from exhibit? No I lied...one more question... Is there a list server for Curators?
