Farar, Good advice. Thanks for putting the obvious on the table. What a good idea-jogger to mention collaborating with the children's program (or any program) at a shelter. At one point in time I worked some with Jim Hubbard on the Shooting Back project (DC). He brought homeless and low-income youth in contact with professional photographers in order that the youth could document their lives/communities. He got all kinds of funding and later produced a national traveling exhibition, print sales and a commercial book. The kids get some of the profits. Jim has had his problems, but the basic project was good. Museums can certainly do similar things. Lisa Falk [log in to unmask]
