One of my favorite sayings these days is:  "The exceptional we
recognize and accept immediately.  The obvious takes a little
longer."  Too often in an attempt to find the latest and greatest
way of increasing attendance, educating the attendees and raising
revenues, folks overlook the basics.

Another semi-heretical question (I guess I'm on a roll today
*grin*):  How often do museum membership directors take advantage of
the museum store as a resource?  Either using merchandise for member
premiums or using the store manager to investigate
pricing/availability for specialty items?

Again, just curious.
