The Field Museum in Chicago has such an exhibit. It is a single case, maybe 6' wide and 4' deep, with a small window in front (maybe 18" square). It periodically switches between flourescent light and incandescent, and has a couple non-mineral objects (a t-shirt, a piece of cardboard) for contrast. Contact Peter Laraba (312-922-9410 x587) in Education for info on exhibit development, contents, labels, choice of minerals, etc. Contact Trigg Waller (312-922-9410 x343) for info on lighting, design, related material, maintenance, etc. Eugene Dillenburg Geology Department The Field Museum FAX: 312-922-9566 Roosevelt Road at Lake Shore Dr. phone: 312-922-9410 ext. 293 Chicago, Illinois 60605 "It's not really food if it doesn't hurt." -- Bruce Elliott
