I was told that about a year ago, there was some discussion on this
     listserv regarding a utility that searched the Net to find out how
     many times a URL was referred to.

     Does anyone recall this discussion or know of such a utility?  I have
     looked at the Museum-L archives but I don't know what topic I'd be
     searching under.
