Visitors were able to walk through a recreated environment of the island, explore wildlife, participate in mock excavations, and use research collections to support findings. This was a small exhibition, but I spent many hours over a period of days at the exhibit. It was fun and rewarding. The Glasgow Museums Education Department has sufferred greatly due to budget cuts. Jemima Fraser, the Education Officer, is now focusing on education through exhibit design. She played a key role in the designing of "St. Kilda Explored." I recommend contacting her for further information.
