They need someone who writes and edits well and can describe architectural projects and process to sophisticated academic and cultural institutional clients and potential clients. Attentiveness to detail is a must. They would also like the person to have computer skills and knowledge of, or willingness to learn Word, Excel, Corel Draw, Photoshop and Pagemaker. As the firm is moving to a digitized photo library database, the ideal candidate would have interest in using and maintaining that. Strong research skills, both with the Internet and with traditional print sources, are also required, as is the ability to work well with other support staff and with the firm's principals and associates. Candidates who have completed an undergraduate degree and are contemplating a career in architecture as well as humanities majors with an interest in architecture and planning have filled this position in the past. This is a full time position with the possibility of some flexibility. Candidates should be available to start work by the end of January. The firm is located in the Manayunk section of Philadelphia.
