Donald: You might like to list the Colloque (Symposium) "Muse'es: Ge'rer Autrement" (sorry - e' = French e acute letter) held in Grenoble, France, in January 1994 to mark the opening of the new Grenoble Museum. Proceededing just published (March 1996), by La Documentation Francaise, Paris, ISBN 2-11-003522-6; edited by Jean-Michel Tobelem, 402 pages, price 170 French francs; title same as symposium. This was far from all about cultural tourism but there were some substantial chunks on the issues of relating museums to C-T. For example, one of my two chapters "Les projets des mus'es lie's au tourisme et au de'veloppment local" (convention on accents as previous) has a substantial bibliography on museums and tourism development prepared jointly with the UNESCO-ICOM Information Centre, Paris.
