We are offering two training workshops - one preceeding and one following CMA. Communities and Museums ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Museums are experiencing profound shifts in their relationships with communities as public funding diminishes and diverse interest groups seek greater involvement in the preservation of their cultural heritage. This workshop examines the complex factors that are reshaping the ways in which communities and museums interact, and provides you with strategies for building meaningful, mutually beneficial relationships. This course examines the indigenous perspectives which are reshaping conventional curatorial practices and looks at emerging forms of cultural stewardship.
